Green Space Dark Skies commissioned by UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK, held the illuminating event at the AONB (Area Of Natural Beauty) Site, Maiden Castle Dorchester yesterday Saturday 11th June.

The event saw over 1000 local volunteers from the community, illuminate The AONB and film the spectacular light show using drones.

The event also had a number of workshops running.

Which included:

Build your own solar-powered birdhouse. Which was run by local university students.

A Guided tour of Maiden Castle

The weather was great with glorious sunshine all day, a fantastic day was had by all.

Green Space Dark Skies enable people from all walks of life to forge new connections with the countryside by supporting those who experience cultural and physical barriers to experiencing our National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty to access events.
