At approximately 10.20 am on Friday 6th August, 3 Vehicles were involved in a Road traffic collision on the A35.

The incident happened near the Clock House Hotel on the A35 in Chideock.

The occupants of the vehicles involved were very lucky and only minor injuries were reported.

A witness described 2 of the vehicles involved as destroyed.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “Called at 10.19 am to report of a three-vehicle collision”

“Location is near to the Clock House Hotel on A35 in Chideock. Minor injuries were reported.”

The incident caused severe delays in both directions. The road was finally cleared around 1 pm, however, the area remained congested for a while.

Due to the holiday season, the roads are a lot busier. Drivers are reminded to remain focused and to take regular breaks whilst driving, at least every 2 hours. If you start to feel tired, find somewhere SAFE to rest as soon as possible SAFE.
