Youths Run Riot In Weymouth Tesco Leaving Staff and Customers Scared

On Tuesday 18th, a group of youths entered the Tesco Express on Dorchester Road at approximately 8:15pm. They proceeded to threaten both staff and customers before stealing a crate of Stella from near the tills.

The incident caused distress to those involved and has been reported to the authorities.

With the police currently looking for witnesses of the incident, particularly a male customer who was stood at the till when the incident unfolded.

Two off duty security guards located the group down at Radipole Gardens and had rang the police.

Police Constable Samuel Hill, of Weymouth police, said: “I would like to hear from the man who was standing near the till at the time of the incident as he may have information to help my investigation.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or has information to assist my enquiries.”
