Dorset Police have launched an urgent appeal to trace the mother of the baby. They believe the woman may be in need of medical attention and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police have confirmed that they have received a report of a deceased human foetus being found on Canford Heath. The foetus was discovered on Thursday and was reported to the police shortly afterwards.
