In a world where trends come and go, there’s something enduring about the nostalgia for the 90s. From the fashion to the music, the 90s holds a special place in the hearts of many, reminding us of simpler times filled with carefree fun and unforgettable moments. And what better way to celebrate this era than through a rave in aid of a good cause?

Enter Nostalgia, a spectacular event that promises to transport attendees back to the heyday of the 90s rave scene while raising funds for a noble cause. Organised in support of Steps, a youth club based in Weymouth dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities lead fulfilling lives, Nostalgia offers a unique opportunity to dance the night away while making a meaningful difference.

Set against the backdrop of pulsating beats and kaleidoscopic lights and lasers, Nostalgia invites partygoers to relive the magic of the 90s rave culture. From the iconic fashion statements to the signature dance moves, every aspect of the event is designed to evoke memories of a bygone era. Attendees are encouraged to dust off their neon attire, adorn themselves with glow sticks, and embrace the spirit of the 90s in all its vibrant glory.

But Nostalgia is more than just a trip down memory lane—it’s a chance to support a cause that truly matters. Steps, the beneficiary of the event, is committed to empowering youngsters to live life to the fullest and engage them with activities outside of school and to prevent anti-social behaviour. Whether it’s through providing essential services or promoting inclusivity, Steps works tirelessly to ensure that youngsters, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to thrive into adulthood.

Principal Youth Worker Tom Lane from STEPS Youth Club said:

“We’re delighted that the next Nostalgia event will raise funds for STEPS in our 60th Year.  The Charity has run the Club for over seven years after Dorset Council stopped running a Youth Service in 2016.  We have to raise around £90,000 a year to keep the Club going, so we hope everyone who knows the value of our work will come along and support the event – it should be great fun!

“The Club provides a range of developmental opportunities and support for young people as well as much-needed facilities for a range of community groups, including Dorset Abilities Group, Let’s Dance, youth football teams and others.

“We are just launching a two-year Youth Music Project which will include young people learning DJ Skills.  Hopefully, one or two might prove good enough to perform a set at The Pavilion. “I’d like to thank Rich Talmage (‘Richie T’ of Air FM) and the Nostalgia team for choosing to support STEPS and our young people.”

Richard Talmage added:

“Nostalgia is all about supporting the local community, whilst bringing people together to celebrate the 90s dance music scene. Many of whom used to go to STEPS (formerly Weymouth Boys Club) back in the 1990’s

We chose to support STEPS as they are a local registered charity, who do a lot of amazing work with the young people of this town. Not only that, but Nostalgia also provides an opportunity for new up and coming DJs, aswell as those wishing to learn about sound and lighting production.

With qualified engineers on the team, you can be sure that Nostalgia will bring you authentic 90’s analogue sound, lighting and laser production for the event.

Of course, Nostalgia wouldnt be complete without talented vinyl DJs on the line-up – It wouldnt be a true 90’s event if it wasnt all on vinyl! “
